Similarities may be expected in even the largest sizes. The local Virgo Supercluster of galaxies is similar to galaxy NGC 1097 (i.e. it has a bar and a loop) but only if its quasars are allowed the positions dictated by the contours of the X-ray map, as shown.
The traditional view is that all quasars are very remote, conflicting with the above Rosat X-ray map. Thus Hubble's law would appear to be in need of an overhaul. Ari Brynjolfsson's work on hot plasma sheds new light http://arxiv.org/abs/astro-ph/0401420.
The Sun's red shift (see www.newtonphysics.on.ca/HUBBLE/Hubble.html), is thus easily explained.
The supercluster is known to be flat, as befits a member of the proposed fractal hierarchy.

This image of a cluster of galaxies could easily pass for a single galaxy. One hierarch looks much like another.
