Galaxy Growth

Thus multiplication of loops, analogous to cell growth in plants and animals, is postulated. Four stages are shown but many intermediate ones are apparent in NASA's picture. Thus galaxies are quasi-stable and will shed the outer layers like seeds during periods of high electrical activity. There is evidence - see next two slides.
